Our thoughts: |
Ridgeview Estate is a relative newcomer with increasing kudos and this sparkling wine was awarded Gold by Decanter World Wine Awards in 2011 in the £10+ category despite being up against hundreds of illustrious other Champagnes and sparkling wines and further promoting England as a source of world class sparkling wine. This stunning and elegant well-balanced and structured sparkling wine is crisp, dry, pale gold in colour with fine persistent bubbles and an outstanding creamy mousse. The nose follows through to the palate revealing supple well balanced and refined delicate white tropical fruit, citrus and floral notes with a lovely honey, brioche and toasty long finish. This excellent Chardonnay sparkling wine is drinking now or can age 3 to 4 years. If you’re after something that is great quality at superb value for money, this is a great alternative to Champagne and the major brands.
Serve chilled and enjoy on its own or perhaps with canapés or shellfish. |
