Wine School of Excellence and their parent company, Cleverdotsolutions Limited has been established since 2001, and is a rapidly expanding boutique training and event company.  “Everyone at WSE has an unabashed passion for the world of wine and a desire to demystify and simplify what can seem a puzzling and enigmatic subject” says Gillian Tinney, Managing Director. “We believe that there is a growing demand for something a bit different and that is our unique competitive advantage.”

We are a friendly, lively and vibrant company, who specialise in corporate development and training services for both on and off trade.  We have a different approach to most companies involved in the trade by incorporating more creative and innovative training styles and methodology.

The Company has delivered large corporate training programmes to many multi-national organisations both in the UK and abroad.  Since inception, integrity, excelling in our customer service and achieving results have remained integral to us.  Motivation and Team Building are continually at the heart of our training and events to ensure true sustainable performance development.

The Company has recently directed its focus to the Wine and Hospitality Industry by integrating all the professional training methods in other related industries.   Its open wine courses are held predominately in Leeds, York and Chesterfield although it can hold bespoke wine courses or events at any location either in the UK or abroad.

Gillian is Managing Director for the Wine School of Excellence.  “We’ve made it our mission to consistently challenge the ordinary.  We have a passion for quality and a pride in achieving impressive results.  We totally believe in what we do” says Gillian whose personal brand of enthusiasm is highly infectious.  Using her wealth of experience in modern training techniques, she has an impressive track record at senior level with multi national organisations.

Graham Kennedy, MBE


Graham, awarded the MBE in the 2009 New Years Honours List for his tireless charity work for the Ataxia Group and Forecourt Trader of the Year 2000, is our newly acquired and ‘prized’ Executive Business Development Director.  He is the archetypical entrepreneur who has built up a multi-million pound empire in retailing and will assist and shape Wine School of Excellence with its strategical and development expansion.
